Robert Half Finance is in the process of hiring an Accounting Clerk for one of their clients. In this role, you will be required to match invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assist in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Your responsibilities
– Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed
– Post financial information to journals and ledgers
– Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
– Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned
– Use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports
– General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
– Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes
– File vendor invoices and disbursements and match & file A/P invoices to support accounts payable
Job Requirements:
– AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
– Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
– Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
– Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
– Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized
