Accounting Manager- Training Lead

T-Mobile

This is a Contract position in Bellevue, WA posted May 24, 2021.

The Accounting Manager, Training Lead, is a highly visible position within the Corporate Controller’s organization, leading the Training Taskforce for the CAO organization and liaising with our training vendors and greater Finance organization training leads
This position will collaborate across the Finance organization and with our key partners (internal – WebEx, cornerstone and other teams) that support trainings or training logistics, as well as our 3rd party vendors for CPE or ad hoc trainings.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a large company accounting environment or 3+ years public accounting experience. required.
  • SharePoint skills including ability to update and maintain SharePoint.
  • Super organizational skills
  • Organization and dealing with multiple deliverables and timelines simultaneously
  • History of proactivity- seeing what needs to be done and getting it done and/or coordinating to complete
  • Working with partners, cross functionally and ability to influence
  • Communication skills- record of clarity and collaboration

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting/Finance or other Finance areas
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Maintain the Finance Training Calendar for the year
  • Maintain the Accounting training share point
  • Lead the accounting training taskforce and meetings
  • Align Accounting Training into overall Finance Training Calendar
  • Prepare Communications of upcoming trainings and ensuring working Training Tool Links for people to register in Cornerstone
  • Prepare/Maintain Training Document Standards and Train Training Preparers/Trainers
  • Manage and Maintain NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) Certification for T-Mobile
  • Ensure Training Content Reviewers and Taskforce understand and maintain Quality Review Standards for Taskforce
  • Ensure Standards for meeting CPE Certification Standards are clear for any preparer of Training documentation
  • Prepare and Track Actuals/Budget for Training Taskforce including CPE user consumption (Annual and Monthly)
  • Manage Training Contract(s) with Providers (Currently KPMG & Becker) 6+ mth ahead of renewal
  • Identify and implement improvements to the Training Taskforce and Training process
  • Providing any necessary documentation for the ELC (Entity Level Control) for Accounting Training, including quarterly reporting to ALT
  • Prepare and provide CPE certificates to attendees and Audit support for NASBA certification.
  • Recruiting for Training Taskforce to ensure appropriate and broad representation across the Accounting and CAO org Processes
  • Be the Taskforce Lead for the Annual Conference, coordinating across the Taskforce members to get various actions and prep materials done
    • Working with Sponsor and ALT to determine annual theme
    • Working with admins on logistics/SWAG
    • Working with Web Cast team for Audio/Record
    • Working with taskforce members for content
    • Working with Finance Training Overall
    • Working with Providers to streamline reporting and user access efficiently
  • Support scheduling training and ensuring training communication avenues remain active and current, as it relates to ERP readiness requirements working with various process owners
