Accounting Manager

North Sound Emergency Medicine

This is a Full-time position in Everett, WA posted August 22, 2021.

North Sound Emergency Medicine, a well-established, large provider group in Everett, Washington, is looking for a full time Accounting Manager to lead our accounting and financial operations to start immediately.

Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Masters Preferred* Absolute Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience* 5 years of QuickBooks experience* CPA or CMA; Preferred Job Duties: FINANCIAL REPORTING & ANALYSIS * Develops and oversees all aspects of financial statement and management report generation on a monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis.* Closely monitors and trends all sources of income, expenses, and patient volumes.

This includes full cycle accounting tasks for the company.* Forecasts Group income and expenses to help ensure fiscally responsible practices are maintained.* Oversees the accounting and payroll systems to ensure their financial integrity is maintained, including calculating the monthly RVU multiplier to ensure the balance is maintained between monthly payouts and quarterly reconciliations.* Calculates and processes monthly payroll utilizing scheduling software (Shift Admin) to download hours and accurately importing and entering into the third-party payroll software (Paycor).* Calculates and distributes the quarterly payroll reconciliations.* Updates scheduling software with any new payroll hours or stipends to ensure import file into third-party payroll system is accurate.

Helps all employees with revising or troubleshooting any shift hour issues.* Works diligently with all Group members, brokers, vendors, etc.

to effectively address any questions regarding their payroll and retirement calculations.* Oversees the organizational budget process, working closely with the Chair of the Finance Committee, Board President, Executive Director and Committee Chairs.* Maintains accounting controls, chart of accounts, internal controls, etc.* Maintains banking relationships and oversees the bank account reconciliation process.* Works closely with the Executive Director to define accounting policies and procedures.* Accurately calculates and reviews all employee benefit premiums and ensures payroll deductions are correctly imported into third party payroll software.

Ensures all premiums are paid accurately and timely.* Administrator for SAP Concur expense reimbursement software and helps all employees with any related questions or issues.

Maintains accurate reporting of continuing medical education (CME) funds for all employees utilizing Concur.* Maintains job knowledge by taking relevant educational courses, reading professional publications, etc.

RETIREMENT PLAN ADMINISTRATION * Oversees all aspects of retirement plan administration.

This includes cash forecasting for correct timing of retirement plan distributions to employee’s accounts.

TAX PREPARATION * Calculates the organization’s tax liability for the myriad of organizational tax assessment and prepares electronic transfers to meet said liability.* Prepares all requisite monthly, quarterly, and annual tax forms for the corporation, except annual Form 1120.* Organizes and coordinates annual federal income tax return preparation with the CPA firm.* Works closely with our CPA firm to collect, organize and coordinate the preparation of the annual compilation of the financial statements.

Required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position: * Ability to get along and work well with others.* Extensive accounting experience in a busy administrative office, ideally possessing a CPA or CMA Certification.* Considerable experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word.) and cloud-based software.* Remarkable accuracy and attention to detail.* Significant experience overseeing and processing organizational payroll operations.* Strong organizational skills for meeting deadlines and handling a heavy workload while keeping job functions in perspective.* Exceptionally strong analytical and accounting skills.* Strong project management skills.* Dogged determination and drive to get the job done correctly and timely.* Initiative to research & pursue new ideas which add value to the Group.* Ability to function in a fluid, fast-paced work environment with many interruptions.* Ability to work under pressure and under aggressive timelines.* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for imparting complex financial information in an understandable way to all levels of providers, staff, patients, vendors and consultants.* Administrative experience within an independent or hospital-based physician group helpful.* Strong customer service orientation.* Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time Total Compensation
– $135,000
