As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. You will also be expected to make key decisions and be able to challenge, negotiate and influence the team. Responsibilities:Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilitiesInspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectationsManage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecastsEvaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologiesResponsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysisGive financial reports to executive committee and partners each monthSupport Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as requiredWork closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operationManage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payrollDrive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collectionPrepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash managementPlease contact Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half to review this position.
