FIRST FEDERAL: Universal Banker – Port Townsend

This is a Full-time position in Port Townsend, WA posted May 19, 2021.

Position Purpose: Perform sales and service activities to identify and support the financial needs of existing and potential customers.

Essential Functions: Open new accounts and originate loans in accordance with current policies and procedures, ensuring minimal errors and account documentation is filed in a timely manner.

Meet sales, referral, and cross-sale goals by identifying and selling bank products and services beneficial to the customer’s needs.

Develop and maintain a current knowledge of all products and services.

Respond to customer inquiries for services and complete quickly and accurately.

Make outbound business development sales calls and attend networking activities.

Assist customers in processing transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures and balance cash drawer.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Investment Services sales if applies at branch location.

Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum: High school diploma or certified equivalency.

Some college coursework highly preferred.

Universal Banker I: Typically requires 1 to 2 years of experience as a Customer Service Representative, Teller or Personal Banker, providing high quality customer service and sales, preferably in a retail banking environment.

Universal Banker II: Typically requires 3 to 4 years of demonstrated experience providing high quality in customer service and sales, preferably in a retail banking environment.

Demonstrated proficiency in originating consumer real estate and non-real estate loans.

Override and training support.

Universal Banker III: Typically requires 5 years of demonstrated experience providing high quality in customer service and sales, preferably in a retail banking environment.

Demonstrated proficiency in originating consumer real estate and non-real estate loans.

Override and training support.

Small commercial Lines of credit, cash management enrollment and reviews, RDC enrollment and reviews.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills, along with the ability to demonstrate and maintain a professional, outgoing, and pleasant demeanor at all times.

Effective listening skills and willingness to approprately probe for information needed to successfully meet the needs of the customer within applicable bank policies and practices Effective time management skills, along with the ability to multi-task and consistently follow up in a timely and effective manner.

Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.

Ability to navigate quickly and effectively through change.

Strong mathematical and computational skills.

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Valid Washington State Driver’s license required.

Incumbent must be willing and able to work Saturday schedule as needed.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Work activities involve combinations of sitting/standing, occasional walking and lifting up to 10 pounds.

Normal office environment with a regular work schedule.

Requires close visual acuity.
