is seeking a to lead the accounting and finance operations for a fourth generation family-owned heavy civil construction and marine construction company.

You will participate in the development of and support the company’s plans and growth both tactical and strategically.

Additionally, you will be helping guide the financial direction of the business ensuring accounting excellence across the organization.Core Responsibilities* Oversee and manage all accounting operations including billing, job cost accounting, cash flow management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll* Manage and produce timely and accurate preparations of monthly financial statements and reporting* Communicate financial metrics to senior management on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis* Review financial results and provide key metrics to improve profitability and explain variances and opportunities* Manage the work-in-progress financial reporting* Lead the compilation of the annual operating budgets and manage the ongoing forecasts* Ensure accuracy of accounting reporting, maintain proper internal controls and adhere with GAAP as well as company policies* Maintain a documented system for accounting policies and procedures; drive process improvement and modernization* Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings* Manage and maintain state registrations, business and tax licenses, etc.* Maintain relationships with key external partners (banking, insurance, 401k TPA)* Oversee and manage the human resources personnel* Liaise with outside CPA’s on all audit and federal & state tax matters*Develop and execute processes in support of the company’s strategic plan* Provide and manage project analysis with the field personnel* Assists with special projects, research and analysis as needed* Assists in other areas within the company as neededCore Qualifications:* 4+ years of expertise with deep technical accounting knowledge and experience* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting* Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred* Experience in construction preferred* Experience working with banks and financial institutions* Knowledge of computer applications including advanced skills in Excel and experience with Spectrum accounting/construction management program preferred* Excellent written and verbal communication over a variety of communication channels* Demonstrates ability to work well under pressure in a stressful and deadline driven environment and strive for* Ability to multi-task while managing numerous projects* Ability to incorporate strategic decision makingrecblid uuw57ablc99aeevwfe6nearw8w7eqz
