We provide the world’s most innovative companies with specialized accounting, consulting, and wealth management services to help them embrace emerging opportunity.**Introduction to the Team**The National Tax team at Moss Adams consists of tax professionals with deep technical skills in tax controversy, accounting methods, partnerships, ASC 740, and M&A transactions who help our clients address complex federal tax issues and manage their tax liability.

We are currently seeking a National Tax Senior Manager with deep experience in tax accounting methods and inventory matters.

This leadership role in our growing tax practice will give you an opportunity to utilize your technical tax, analytical, and client service skills to deliver value to our diverse client base.

Mentoring and training our tax professionals on accounting methods and inventory matters is a crucial aspect of developing a tax practice and is an integral part of this job.Individuals who thrive at Moss Adams exhibit the following success skills
– Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Executive Presence, Growth Mindset, Intellectual Curiosity, and Results Focus.**Responsibilities**+ Serve as a firm technical resource for accounting methods and inventory, including:+ Consult with tax partners and senior managers on complex technical matters+ Develop and implement planning strategies+ Instruct at internal firm training conferences+ Draft articles for internal and external audiences+ Leverage technical knowledge and experience to provide effective project management and practice development, delivering timely and responsive services and products that meet and/or exceed client expectations+ Stay current on administrative and legislative developments to build on technical competence+ Utilize firm tools and technologies to facilitate innovative strategies that improve client service as it relates to accounting methods and inventory matters+ Assist in development of firm tax professionals as it relates to technical skills in accounting methods and inventory through internal collaboration and coaching**Qualifications**+ Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Taxation and/or JD with LLM in Tax preferred+ Minimum 7 years of tax experience; preferably gained within a public accounting firm+ CPA, bar membership or equivalent credential required+ Well-rounded tax professional with diverse technical experience, but who also has specialized in accounting methods and inventory+ Possesses ability to analyze complex business activities and evaluate the tax consequences+ Experience supervising and training staff+ Strong organizational skills; able to effectively prioritize projects/tasks and competing deadlines in a fast paced environment+ Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to others+ Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently+ Ability to develop relationships, build rapport, and effectively interface with all levels within the firm; attaining visibility and recognition firm-wide within your specialization+ Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%**Moss Adams is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
