POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This position will be responsible for financial analysis for both Hillcrest Hospital Claremore and Hillcrest Hospital Pryor.
Key components involve preparing daily trend report, analyzing and articulating variances between actual and expected results at both a facility and department level, monthly operations reporting, monthly/quarterly external reporting, and assisting in the annual forecasting/budget process.This position will work with the CFO to incorporate best practices in the application of financial methodologies, principles, and concepts to seek out opportunities that improve the financial performance of Ardent’s facilities.
Responsibilities: Support the CFO, other members of the executive team, and hospital leadership on finance-related initiatives as requested, including variance analytics, service line profitability reports, capital expenditure requests, facility performance, cost management, and trending and analysis of the patient population and financial indicators.Able to work with a complex, fast-paced environment, have a high sense of urgency, be good at multi-tasking, and a self-starter.Daily interaction with hospital leadership to develop reporting tools and metrics to drive operations and process improvement initiatives.Liaison between corporate accounting (GL, AP, payroll) and hospital leadership as needed.
Assist in invoice and vendor related issues as needed.Support the forecast, budget, and strategic plan process.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.Healthcare / Hospital Operational experience preferred.Experience in business objects, PBCS, and EPIC preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent critical thinking skillsHigh degree of self-motivationFamiliarity with budgets and forecastingAbility to use standard data sets to gain a detailed knowledge of trends with the patient population.
Action-orientated with the ability to meet deadlines and turnaround requests in short order.
Strong PC skillsAdvanced Excel and Access for data manipulation and analysis.
