Senior Accountant, Joint Venture Accounting

32275 32nd Ave S,Federal Way,Washington,98001,United States of America This position is to be a lead the Joint Venture (JV) Accounting team with its responsibilities of providing timely and accurate financial information to its Field customers and JV partners. This includes account analysis, trend analysis, financial statement preparation, forecasting and research. Financial Statement Analysis and Prep: Includes basic Financial Statements as well as manual reporting for significant areas. Preparation of Capital Account Statements. Trend analysis and research for all financial areas using multiple systems, applications and collaboration with various departments. Responsible for comprehensive understanding of assigned JV’s and communication of financial results to operators and JV partners. Close Analysis (BD1 – BDF7): General ledger functions including account analysis, journal entries preparation, legal entity review, expense, revenue ,AR and collection trend analysis. Adhoc questions/projects/reporting – Responding to questions for field and partners Participate and lead meetings with Team, Field and JV partners as necessary. Includes on-boarding calls for new JVs. Participate and lead meetings with Team, Field and JV partners as necessary. Includes on-boarding calls for new JVs.Cash Flow Forecasts and Distributions: Prepare cash forecasts based on historical financial data and knowledge gained from working with and supporting field finance and operations management. Also includes check request preparation. JV Agreement and Transaction Review: New JV agreement review, abstracting agreements, assessing transactions and making recommendations on the accounting treatment of non-standard transactions. Ability to use judgement on matters of significance with little direct supervision.
