Senior Tax Accountant

Northwest Tax Advisors LLC is a growing tax and advisory practice located in Mercer Island, WA that specializes in tax compliance, tax planning, and strategic consulting for businesses and individuals, while also providing accounting, payroll, and other professional services. We are looking to add an experienced tax professional to our team.

An ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and experience with business and individual tax preparation, strong communication and analytical skills, enjoy working in a team setting, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines. Experience with QuickBooks and QBO a plus.

Position requirements:

1.     CPA eligible or LLM in tax

2.     At least 2 years relevant tax experience in public accounting

3.     Able to work in the US without sponsorship

Position responsibilities include:

– Prepare complex business tax and individual income tax returns

– Prepare IRS and state taxing authority letter and notice responses

– Prepare state and local excise and personal property returns

– Prepare and review federal and state payroll returns

– Prepare and review client bookkeeping

– Prepare, review, and complete tax research projects

– Review work of staff below senior level

– Assist with year-end and general tax planning services

– Assist in fostering client relationships

– Other tasks as needed.
