When you join our team, you become an important part of our uniqueness.Job SummaryAs the GL Accountant, you are responsible for supporting accounting functions and workflows.

You collaborate with a diverse team to ensure the daily activities of the Accounting Department are attended.

Work will require an understanding of basic accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.

You accomplish your daily responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail, using strong analytical skills, clear communication, and efficient organization.

You manage your time effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks and responding to shifting priorities as needed, as directed by your manager.

$27.50 $36/Hr depending on experience.This full-time non-exempt position reports to the CFO and is based at the company headquarters in Seattle, WA.

Part-time Job share and remote work considered for the right candidate(s).ResponsibilitiesEnsure all entries are accurate and transactions reported with compliance to internal policies.Prepare journal entries relating to accruals, reclassifications, reconciliations, intercompany entries, and other entries in alignment with GAAP.Develop written accounting policies and procedures.Prepare month-end journal entries, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.GL Coding and job cost tracking.Responsible for accurate and timely month end closing procedure.Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.Maintain Fixed Asset Subledger, cash flow forecasts, shipyard project budgets and the like.Perform account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correctInterface with associates in various departments, including sales, revenue, operations, IT and HR.

Internal customer service is a big part of the job.Other miscellaneous accounting related duties when needed, we value a willingness to jump in and help with the unexpected.QualificationsBA/BS in Accounting or equivalent work experience.3-5 years of relevant work experience.Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and operational accounting processes.High Proficient with Microsoft Excel.Experience with ERP implementation / DynamicsStrong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and meeting deadlines.Able to learn quickly, open to change and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.Able to work independently and with minimal supervision, yet a strong team player.Able to prioritize tasks based on business needs and manager direction.Written/Oral communications – able to speak and write clearly and concisely.Demonstrates consistency in values, principles and work ethic.Are passionate about learning and working together to build high performing teams.Strong Ability to acknowledge your mistakes, throw it out the window, and try a different path.Physical Demands / Work EnvironmentMust be able to work in a standard office environment with sitting, typing and writing for 8 to 10 hours per day.Work ScheduleThe work day core hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, however this position may require a flexible schedule with varying hours to include occasional weekends.
