Administrative Nurse Supervisor

Clinical Management Consultants

This is a Contract position in Mabton, WA posted March 28, 2021.

An excellent non- profit health system in Central Washington is seeking an Administrative Nurse Supervisor to join their leadership team.

The Administrative Nurse Supervisor will join a Hospital  that is part of a community oriented health system with medical facilities throughout the state. This Hospital has been serving the community for over 60 years and has been recognized on both regional and national levels for their top tier patient safety and satisfaction scores. The Administrative Nurse Supervisor will serve as an integral part of the leadership team at this Hospital. Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, this person will assume overall supervision of the hospital in the absence of the executive and administrative team. This position will collaborate with senior leadership, including the CMSRN Medical Surgical Manager, Intermediate Care Nurse Supervisor and CCRN Critical Care Manager  to ensure a seamless transition of authority each night and weekend.

This position will provide direction, supervision, and coordination of all patient care activities and functions of the hospital on the assigned shift to ensure safe, quality patient care. The Administrative Nurse Supervisor will employ an experienced hand and work with clinical unit leaders and staff to guide operations and patient care. This oversight will include making regular rounds throughout the units of the hospital. This person will also  be responsible for managing bed placement, hospital discharges, and coordinating bed huddles as needed.

The Administrative Nurse Supervisor will assist in locating equipment and relieving staff as needed. This Position will be involved in a variety of departments. They will participate in educational programs, Inservice meetings and workshops, and self-management activities. An ideal candidate for this position will be knowledgeable and comfortable participating in planning nursing unit budgets. This position will also assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the department, the Administrative Nurse Supervisor will be required to provide the appropriate resources to help meet and exceed all departmental goals.
