Insurance Authorization Specialist / Receptionist

Tri-Cities Orthotics & Prosthetics

This is a Full-time position in Richland, WA posted November 24, 2021.

Prosthetics and Orthotics Clinic has an immediate opening for a Insurance Authorization Specialist / Receptionist.

This position is primarily responsible for obtaining insurance authorization from patients’ health insurance provider(s) to allow patients to receive artificial limbs and braces.

Knowledge of medical insurance preferred
Experience obtaining authorizations for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) preferred
ICD-10/ CPT Coding experience preferred
Medical receptionist experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Computer skills
Flexible and adaptable to quick changing environment(s)
Ability to work as a team player in a professional environment
Enter requests for Prior Authorization for prosthetics and orthotics
Verify patient eligibility with health insurance provider
Back-up main receptionist as needed
Ability to handle high workload volume timely and accurately
Obtain/provide requests and documentation to determine patient coverage and approval
Ability to work independently
Abide by all state/federal laws and regulations as they pertain to healthcare.
JOB TYPE: Non-Exempt Full-Time, Monday
– Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
