Our Healthcare Industry Specialists are part of a small, passionate, and talented solution acceleration team that is hyper-focused on helping our healthcare customers deliver better experiences, better insights, and ultimately, better care.

This solution acceleration team works alongside our customers to tackle the tough but meaningful challenges facing the industry, such as: enhancing engagement with patients, empowering collaboration between the diverse roles and individuals that deliver care as a team, improving the insights from health data and making them actionable, and protecting sensitive health data to support privacy, security, and compliance.

As a Healthcare Industry Specialist, you will be a senior solution sales leader within our enterprise sales organization working with our most important healthcare customers.

The Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare transforms the way Microsoft empowers its customer, and you will be a catalyst for that transformation.

You will lead a virtual team of sales, technical, partner and consulting resources to advance customer opportunities and engagements, helping them deliver on their outcomes while achieving sales/consumption targets across our Microsoft cloud platform.

You will help customers evaluate their applications, recommend solutions that meet their requirements, remove roadblocks to deployment and drive customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Overall Objective : Helping our healthcare customers and partners advance their digital transformation while driving use of our cloud services represents a bold bet for Microsoft.

Our goal is to help empower our healthcare customers and partners to deliver better experiences, better insights, and ultimately, better care.

Your contribution to this goal will be helping to drive customer transformation and digital outcomes through industry focused solutions aligned to Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare and, more broadly, the Microsoft cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and the Microsoft Power Platform.

Achieving that Objective : The Healthcare Industry Specialist leverages advanced healthcare transformation skills and extensive network of customer leader and healthcare industry relationships to consistently deliver impactful healthcare solutions, translating to value for our customers and consumption of the Microsoft cloud.

The Healthcare Industry Specialist uses their leadership status in the healthcare industry and extended team to create shared visions, influence key stakeholders and lead virtual teams to drive transformation.

The Healthcare Industry Specialist delivers live demonstrations, functional and non-functional requirements discovery, and architecture workshops that help customer envision how Microsofts cloud can enable their digital transformation.

Primary Responsibilities:

1.Discover, assess, evaluate, and challenge strategic customer objectives by translating them into digital transformation opportunities that leverage Microsofts healthcare cloud services and, more broadly, the Microsoft cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and the Microsoft Power Platform.

2.Work alongside our customers, the healthcare solution acceleration team and the broader Microsoft extended team to help them solve their industry specific challenges with solutions that include healthcare capabilities and the underlying Microsoft cloud while incorporating their existing healthcare IT ecosystem where required (infrastructure, applications, data management, etc.).

3.Help educate customers and influence their decisions to buy, architect and adopt Microsofts cloud services, winning the sales opportunities and usage scenarios through tailoring your message, bringing ideas to customers, engaging with them to show our technology differentiation, and guiding them in decision making.

4.Lead & deliver presentations, demonstrations, and architecture workshops to explain, demonstrate, and prove to our largest customers that the capabilities of Microsofts cloud solutions for healthcare (and the underlying cloud platforms) can help tackle their toughest digital transformation challenges.

5.Drive customer outcomes by demonstrating healthcare digital transformation leadership and by engaging directly with clinical, business, and technical leaders to advance opportunities that leverage our platforms and Microsofts partner ecosystem in their digital enablement.

6.Help our healthcare customer account teams incorporate healthcare digital transformation opportunities with meaningful, customer prioritized outcomes into their account plans and provide leadership around managing those opportunities with discipline to help ensure we are investing in the right opportunities and engagements.

7.Develop deep trusted adviser status with customer BDMs and TDMs by actively understanding customer business pains, requirements, strategic growth objectives, industry trends and providing business-value-outcome-based solutions.

8.Orchestrate a diverse team of experts, SMEs, technical resources and partners that are highly diverse, geographically dispersed, and often virtual and will include individuals from both internal to Microsoft and external to Microsoft (including our Global Systems Integrator and ISV partners).

9.Share your learning, expertise, and experiences with our broad group of stakeholders, including extended customer account teams, sales/success leaders, healthcare business and technical leaders, engineering teams, product management and marketing teams.

Industry Specific Knowledge

7+ years Healthcare domain expertise

Significant solution selling experience in the healthcare industry

Previous history of Healthcare Industry direct employment or consulting background with experience delivering complex healthcare solutions

Business Acumen

Strategic leadership with track record driving results, with speed, in cloud services growth, and consumption

Proven track record of delivering results in the short-term, mid-term, long-term

Executive communications, engagement, and influence

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, MBA desirable

Sales Acumen

Demonstrated passion and commitment to customer success

Selling software-as-a-service and cloud-based platforms to enterprise healthcare customers

Assessing strategic customer objectives, digital transformation opportunity discovery, key improvement scenarios, and the ability to help customers qualify and quantify outcomes

Experience leading digital transformation engagements with customers

Exceeding sales quotas by helping advance opportunities aligned to healthcare outcomes enabled by digital solutions

Leading, partnering and orchestrating with virtual teams of experts, composed of industry, engineering, solution, technical, licensing and legal team members

Disciplined operator with demonstrated accuracy in forecasting technology platform pipeline expected from delivering digital solutions to customers challenges

Technical Acumen

Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, cloud application platforms, modern cloud-based solution architectures, and setting up and delivering demonstrations from live environments.

Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: digital patient engagement & experience, health team collaboration/communication, clinical & operational analytics, healthcare data interoperability.

Understanding of and experience with typical enterprise healthcare technical architectures and ecosystems that include major technology platforms such as: EMR/Clinical Systems, Imaging/PACs systems, Revenue Cycle, Billing/Coding Systems, tele-health systems, clinical data warehouses, connected medical devices, HIPAA/HITRUST Compliant Application Infrastructure.

Hands-on experience in at least two of these areas is desired.

General technical aptitude with modern technology platform components that could include: dev-ops, containerization, serverless computing, low-code development, data & integration pipelines, health data interoperability, workflow automation, bot frameworks, data platforms, analytics services, OSS tools (e.g.
