Sr Manager Manufacturing Accounting

This Sr Manager, Accounting manages the development, implementation and/or maintenance of the inventory subledger, policies, and procedures. Oversees product warranty reserve and risk analysis and other cost of goods sold components. Partners with global organizations and designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data. Participates in annual audits and leads special projects. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Ensures accurate and timely accounting information; responsible for North America warranty reserve accounting and monitoring, inventory subledger management, royalty cost of sales monitoring and management, and related SOX control design and compliance.Duties & Responsibilities* Provide detailed work assignments and project guidance to department members* Keep up-to-date on knowledge and concepts that are related to cost, inventory, and warranty liability accounting* Ensure solutions, costs, and strategies positively reflect the success of Itron* Interpret accounts and records to upper management* Analyze records of present and past operations, trends and costs, administrative commitments and obligations incurred* Interact with diverse internal and external groups and business functions* Ensure accurate, timely, and complete month end close activities for department responsibilities, including journal entries and subledger reconciliationSkills & Experience* Understanding and experience in manufacturing processes, inventory costing and product warranty* Strong professional skepticism and ethics* Process improvement leader with background risk analysis, statistical data interpretation, highly collaborative and financial contingency analysis* Experience with Oracle EBS GL and subledger transactions preferred* CPA license highly preferredEducationBachelor degree in related field or equllivalent experiencePhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThis is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.Travel1-10%Itron is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer.
