With the stability of an over 50-year history with no layoffs, Hypertherm does not plan to make significant changes to OMAX’s operations or management structure.

The company’s current offices and manufacturing operations in Kent, WA, will remain intact with no consolidations or reductions planned.Our Kent, WA location at OMAX is currently recruiting a full-time Production Assembler.

In this position, you will have an opportunity to apply comprehensive mechanical and electrical skills to assemble sub-component level parts to be attached to higher level assemblies using manual and power tools, fixtures, hoists, and precision measuring equipment and become an associate of an amazing company!

Additionally you will:Interpret bill of materials and read basic blueprints and schematics and follow written procedures where required and document procedures as necessaryTroubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic/electrical operating systemsAssemble small to large mechanical components, routing wires, installing low voltage electrical and electronic components such as circuit boards, communication (CAT5) and power cables, terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument panels according to specificationsUnderstand instructions in order to complete assigned tasks with little supervision and good communicationOur ideal candidate must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent and 3-5 years of advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience with an original equipment manufacture.

A Vocational or accredited certification within the electro-mechanical field preferred.Additional Requirements:Applicants must have basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience with measuring devices such as calipers, dial indicators helpfulExperience with Ohm/volt meters and the ability to read schematicsElectronic troubleshooting preferredMust be able to work in physical environment, heavy lifting required (50lbs); with or without assistance and have experience using a variety of torque and impact toolsExperience working with Production Assembly chemicals and compoundsMust be able to work in a highly technical environmentExperience and exposure to 5S and lean principles a plusHypertherm is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and we welcome all applications.
