WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Management Leader for the Idaho/Montana area.
The person will be based out of our Seattle, WA office but actual work, location is flexible.
This role will be a seller/doer, helping to grow the WSP CM business specifically in Idaho and Montana with possibility of Eastern Washington.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Bring a best practice mindset with an eye to constant improvement and quality in delivery of work product including developing comprehensive quality plans and working with independent internal and client quality assurance teams Perform marketing and networking activities to develop and maintain strong client relationships, expand work, assist with developing strategic teaming partners Develop staffing plans and schedules to meet task requirements, delivering technical excellence and quality work in accordance with project schedules and budgets Manage sub-consultants Supervise field inspection and field office personnel Review work in accordance with applicable codes and standards included in the project drawings and specifications Responsible for quality control of field engineering, contract administration, inspection, testing, and surveying on projects Apply diversified knowledge of construction engineering principles and practices and independently make decisions on significant construction engineering problems Develop and maintain team inspection standards at high quality level of delivery Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in civil engineering or relevant field; or equivalent experience/education combination Minimum of 15 overall years of experience with specific, demonstrated marketing and Project Manager / Resident Engineer experience on highway and/or transit/rail projects Professional registration (PE) Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships Demonstrated experience in the role of construction management marketing, Project/Construction Manager/Resident Engineer Demonstrated team building and verbal/oral skills Able to foster collaboration between technical and management teams working from other locations Computer literate Ability to travel for work when needed Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSPs Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSPs health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications:
Civil Infrastructure (roadway/bridge) construction and program management experience with medium to large size projects Keen understanding of pursuit management and client relationship building Ability to build team and pursuit opportunities Experience with local, state, and transit organizations in the states of Idaho and Montana Alternative delivery (design-build) experience a plus but not necessary
