Senior Construction Inspector Parametrix, a 100-percent employee-owned premier NW engineering, planning, and environmental sciences consulting firm, is seeking a SENIOR CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR to support CM projects throughout the Puget Sound region. This position will be based out of our Puget Sound Region and join our Seattle or Puyallup office based on candidate preference.We are looking for a Senior Construction Inspector to provide construction services for civil, transportation, and environmental projects. The qualified candidate will assist in the inspection of construction projects to assure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and permit requirements. Who You Are:Experienced:20+ years of inspection experience with infrastructure projects focused on water, transportation and aviation. Knowledgeable with quantity calculations, field documentation, compliance with contract documents, specifications and permits. Interpret material test results and compare against contract requirements. Knowledge of the Local Agency Guidelines (LAG) manual for FHWA projects, specifications with agencies like WSDOT, King County, or similar.Collaborative:Excels in communication and works collaboratively with the materials and testing team, architect and/or engineers, Owner’s Representative, and Owner to ensure all materials are sampled and tested according to contract requirements. Experienced in identifying field issues and working with team through standard change management processes. Ability to work individually or in a team at a remote jobsite location with various field inspectors, resident engineers, construction managers, and the contractor.Facilitate responses to clarifications of contract requirements to design team, owners, and contractors. Mentor and supervise junior engineers and inspectors.Desired Certifications:WSDOT Construction Inspection CertificationArmy Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management (CQM) TrainingCertified Erosion and Sediment Control (CESCL) CertificationACI certification in one or more of the following areas:Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade IConcrete Strength Testing TechnicianOSHA 10 or OSHA 30OSHA 40 HAZWOPEROther Qualifications Include:Ability to traverse varied surface conditions. Load/unload equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
