Description: Sales Consultant Job Purpose:A Salon Services Sales Consultant is responsible for the management of sales and relationships with particular customers and within a particular geographical region.

This position is in our Skin Care division.POSITION OVERVIEW:A Sales Consultant maintains the company’s existing relationships with a client or group of clients, so that they will continue using the company for business with a goal of 100% retention.

They manage the relationship with the account(s), and the region, they are assigned to.

Sales Consultants serve as the interface between the Operational Team and the Customer in our company.

They are assigned a segment of our company’s existing client base and are expected to build them to be buying 100% from Salon Services as their chosen Distributor.

They are also assigned an area to prospect and create new relationships and business partnerships.

They are expected to be the most professional Beauty and Fashion Industry Expert in their area and promote themselves in a manner so the account base in the area knows who they are and who Salon Services is.

They are the authority on beauty and the account base they are handed.

The Sales Consultant serves to understand the customer’s demands, plan how to meet these demands, and generate sales for the company as a result.

They seek out ways to grow their account’s business, generating sales for the company as a result.

This person will assume complete responsibility for prospecting, profiling, retaining and opening new accounts within their area.

This position requires initiative, a highly developed sense of responsibility and a proven record of one or more years of success in sales.

Individuals on our team must be customer service-oriented, be a respectful team player, have a keen ability to troubleshoot in creative manners, be effective at conflict resolution and be strong at managing accounts needs at various levels.

Knowledge of sales-related actions and a proven track record of overcoming challenges is essential.JOB DUTIES:
· Virtual, physical and/or telecommunication servicing of all active accounts on a monthly basis, as well as potential accounts with flexible days and hours available to satisfy our customers needs1.

Where weather and geographical location will allow, each DSC’s Top 10, by volume, accounts will be serviced in person once a month minimum2.

Where weather and geographical location will allow, each DCS’s 11-30, by volume, accounts will be serviced in person once a quarter minimum
· Conducting virtual demonstrations of products or services via social media platforms and Zoom meetings on a continual basis
· Ability to work and thrive in remote locations, be activity-oriented and communicate effectively with necessary parties
· Maintain and update all required work within designated places (i.E.

outlook calendar, trello, ibeauthentic)
· Ability to adhere to social media and digital tools requirements in order to service existing clients and grow market share through daily use
· Ability to build and follow a sales pipeline and prospect creatively and consistently through physical and digital outreach
· Active use of tools (such as technology, samples and other resources) as directed in a timely and effective manner to increase sales
· Assistance with all Salon Services and vendor related items that pertain to a customer base when required
· Maintain minimum of 15 calendared appointments logged in the required method
· At minimum, 50 active prospects at all times (unless amended by management)
· Proficiently use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint in presentations
· 100% KPI obtainment
· Hosting, teaching, attending and selling educational opportunities within the market on a continual basis
· Must know and attempt to create a relationship with all persons within every salon serviced
· Ability to teach classes (product-related and business-related) in market on a continual basis
· Certify in all brands yearly and maintain knowledge base as brands evolve and update
· Follow the 24-hour response time with internal and external communication
· Adherence to deadlines for administrative duties for both internal and external parties
· Maintain and update account information given the required method
· Provide consistent and high-level customer service with the ability to rectify any customer complaints with a goal of 0 customer complaints
· Develop and implement detailed, comprehensive programs to build salon business within a minimum of your top 10 accounts
· Collaborate with other departments, and with vendor partners, in cohesive servicing of all clients
· Promote and Assist in sales efforts in other arenas at Salon Services (i.E.

stores, salon interactive)
· Support, participate and elevate brand partner’s events and initiatives
· Knowledge and understanding of competition in the market
· Adherence with all departments company policies, procedures and programs
· Preserve and promote the Salon Services image in all public forums
· Physically supporting events and other needs within the top existing and prospective customers in your market

Participating in regional or national trade shows may be a requirement and those once-a-year events often overlap with weekends.* The position requires long hours at a desk and computer.* Maintains and assures a safe work environment, embracing safe-driving practices.* The position will require servicing of accounts during our normal operating business hours of M-F 9am-6pm but can be altered based on the market and account needs.

This position has varying hours based on the needs of the accounts, the company, and the market.

Availability to meet the needs of the stylists and salons during off-hours and days is necessary.

An expectation of 45hours+ worked per week.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear.

The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
