DCD is seeking one Term Limited Office Support Assistant to join our team! The primary function of this position is completing the of review of scanned permit images and editing data entry of property information.Provide a high level of customer service in various tasks related to support of the assigned department. Receive, screen and direct calls, reply to inquiries and provide information to explain procedures according to available guidelines or refer the customer to the appropriate source of information. Serve as department liaison with public and vendors as needed. Assist in coordination of information to be provided to Kitsap One in response to Customer Relations Management (CRM) requests for call flows and other general inquiries.Provide the full range of general administrative support by entering records, prepare and complete forms, memos, reports, letters, and written or electronic correspondence. Obtain and compile information needed for administrative use or report preparation where only general directions as to the nature or purpose of information desired are received. Schedule meetings, prepare agendas for meetings and conferences; attend and record meetings, taking notes of significant discussions and prepare minutes. Update, maintain staff schedules and coordinates with other division schedules and files. Perform a wide variety of record, file and data searches using electronic and physical databases, to develop or recover information. Maintain complex files and filing systems; store and organize under the direction of the Records Manager and in accordance with established procedures and retention schedules. Receive, receipt and calculate various payments, fees and fines.Participate in cross training efforts with all department Office Assistant staff in preparation for coverage of departmental essential services during absencesREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED; ANDOne year of progressively responsible clerical/office support experience including providing customer service, in-person and by telephone, with the public; word processing and date entry experience; ORAny equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the applicant with the desired knowledge, skills and ability required to perform the work.One year of related coursework from a college, university or business school recognized by the US Department of Education, which may be substituted for the one year of experience.
