COMPREHENSIVE MENTAL HEALTH CENTER
Function: This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and stable environment for young adults.
This position also provides crisis intervention, referral services, and strengthening support systems.
Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.
Responsibilities: * Maintain a healthy environment for participants in shelter to minimize crisis behavior.* Utilizes evidence-based practices, positive youth development, and harm reduction for behavior modification to facilitate positive behavior with participants.* Provides oversight and maintain program structure to participants accessing YAS to include enforcing behavior expectations to maintain a safe and calm milieu.* Makes decisions necessary to maintain the safety of staff and participants in YAS to include evicting a shelter participant or calling law enforcement when necessary.* Plan and prepare any snacks, bedding, or other basic needs of participants.* Participates in the coordination of services and program development in a multi-disciplinary team setting.* Track participant attendance.* Works with team to complete the daily cleaning duties checklist.* Coordinates participant transition into and out of the shelter.* Records significant interactions and behavioral data in daily log, behavior/safety plans and/or incident reports as needed.* Verifies participants identification/age.* Manages behavior expectations of participants.* Communicate with Overnight Manager of significant activities as related to residents and facility.* Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.* Complete assigned Paycom tasks and trainings timely.
Check CLR email regularly and stay up to date on communications.* On-Call Staff: in order to remain an active on-call shelter support the employee is required to work at least one shift per pay period.* In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned.

respectful, hopeful, person-centered, non-judgmental) Qualifications: * 2 years education and direct experience working with high-risk youth, particularly street dependent, homeless, and runaway youth, Preferred.* Valid TB test results within the previous 12 months prior to hire or the ability to obtain a negative TB test within 30 days of employment * Effective written and verbal communications skills.* Ability to transport consumers, preferred.* Valid driver s license; proof of insurance, preferred.
Equipment/Machines Used: Basic office equipment to include, computer, printer, copier, fax, telephone etc.
Physical Requirements: Physical ability to be stationary and traverse in an office environment.
Physical mobility to travel within the community.
Occasional moving items up to 25 lbs.
Working Conditions: Usual office conditions, computer use, and outside interactions.
Environmental Conditions: Office environment; outside weather while working in the community.
