Boeing’s Environment, Health and Safety Engineering Organization is seeking a Mid-Level Design-in Safety and Ergonomics Engineer (Level 3) to join our team!

Position Responsibilities:
Support Design for EHS (environment health and safety) integration into product development and the Enterprise Standard Gated Process
Integrate with Engineering to build EHS requirements early into program lifecycle
Provide technical analysis of safety, health and environment risks to evaluate, verify and validate designs against regulations, Boeing requirements/standards and industry standards
Work with program and business unit EHS partners to identify and mitigate design risks into production
Develop processes and improvements to integrate technology and digital modeling into a systems approach to managing risks
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a ?U.S. Person? as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. ?U.S. Person? includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience with computer aided design (CAD) and human modeling
Experience with ergonomics and human factors in an industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or human factors
Cameo modeling experience
CATIA/3DX experience
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
