Sr Designer, User Experience – Design System & Framework

Come join our Digital Design team! Our Customer Experience, Design Systems & Framework team are a bunch of collaborative designers that work cross functionally to evolve the customer experience through our Universal Design Language of re-usable components, patterns, and styles supported by governance and clear standards and guides. We test, analyze, and build the visual design language, re-usable components, tools, documentation, and connected experiences that guide our users through the product across multiple brands. The connected experiences include: Search, Universal Navigation and Map initiatives.We are seeking an empathetic, detailed, and seasoned Sr. User Experience Designer to help lead strategy and design system for the customer experience within our digital ecosystem. You will partner with our teams in Digital Business, Product and Development, Creative, and Operations to drive initiatives and define the Design Language and UX Framework experiences of our customers. The ideal candidate has a passion and commitment for using data and research to drive their design decisions and can carry their work from concept throughout the product lifecycle.This position requires curiosity and compassion for our users and for someone who enjoys diving into the data to better understand the end-user. They should also have strong skills in building and communicating concept solutions, flow diagrams, schematics, case studies, prototypes and design libraries. Mobile design chops, unwavering attention to detail and a love for solving critical problems are crucial to success.ResponsibilitiesPartner with Digital Business Owners to define experience strategies that achieve digital goals to delight the Customer ExperienceCollaborate with cross functional partners including Accessibility, SEO, Research, and Analytics to incorporate standard methodologies into component definitionsExecute the experience strategy from design concepts through detailed designAdvocate for our customers’ needs every step of the wayLead the integration of the user research and brand messaging in the design processSimplify, communicate, and present complex ideas to product partners and leadership teamsLead our partner vendors and design agencies when neededPartner with Development and Operations teams to ensure the experience is meeting expectationsDefines processes and practices to enable world-class designProvides constructive feedback on peer designsQualifications5+ years in digital experience or product designAdept and efficient at crafting multiple UX options for a given business problemBackground in working with or building design libraries with cross functional teamsProven visual design skills and hands-on with Adobe XD and Miro or other similar UX and prototyping toolsAn understanding of common development technologies and how they apply to design solutionsExperience with Adobe Experience Manager a plusA portfolio that demonstrates solving complex problems using data-driven design across platforms including native app and responsive web projectsPrototyping skills are a huge plus, especially Principle or Framer#LI-CK1Minimum QualificationsAt least 18 years of ageLegally authorized to work in the United StatesHigh School Diploma or GEDPre-employment background screenCompany ProfileT-Mobile U.S. Inc.
