Technical Systems Designer III (Engines) Kent, WA 6-month contract Max Pay: $71.20/hr BOE Must be a U.S.

As part of a team, you will be responsible to create models, drawings, and configurations of engine hardware with a focus on machined parts.

You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of design, analysis, assembly, testing and support of flight operations.

Your passion for space vehicle support systems means you are committed to the necessary quality and attention to detail required to support human space flight.

This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Design and maintain component and assembly product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies Apply Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly Apply relevant company, industry (design, drafting, parts) standards to engineering designs Implement engineering and manufacturing best practices to achieve a balanced approach to cost, schedule, and performance requirements Self-prioritize and self-schedule work activity in support of the team Support drafting standards checking

Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E and Pro/E Piping) using Windchill PDM Strong work ethic with a high attention to detail Knowledge of fabrication and integration processes for machined components and welded assemblies Experience managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings Experience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41 Must be a U.S.

citizen or national, U.S.

permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S.

as a refugee or granted asylum

7+ years of experience designing/drafting structural parts, precision components, and/or subsystems Working knowledge of materials, machine design, mechanisms, and additive manufacturing (AM) techniques Experience in component/assembly level structural/thermal FEA Extensive practice in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) Rocket engine structural and fluid systems experience
