Terracon is growing and hiring a Geostructural Senior Engineer in our Seattle, WA office!

As the Geostructural Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in leading and executing the Geostructural and Geotechnical projects for the Seattle Office.

You will participate in multidisciplinary project teams, often involving multiple offices.

Your ability to work with a high-performing team, commitment to exceptional technical excellence, meeting project submission deadlines, and exceeding our clients’ expectation, and active participation in business development or technical branding will make you the perfect fit for our team.Typical Geostructural projects include analyses and detailed design of support of excavation systems, underpinning of existing structures, stabilization of slopes and other earth structures, steel and concrete design, soil improvement, shallow and deep foundation systems, earth retaining structures, grouting programs, design and oversight of positive cutoff walls, and numerical analysis.

You are expected to apply sound engineering principles and be able to communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams.

Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment.

Promote pre-task planning and conduct periodic safety checks to ensure adherence to all Terracon safety practices.Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.

Ensure best practices are being followed and Geostructural standards adhered toProvide exceptional leadership, guidance and mentorship to all junior staffSenior project management, contract negotiations, risk management, budget adherence and business development effortsCoordinating Geostructural design services for internal and external clientsResponsible for assisting in creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrating prescribed safety practices.

Promote pre-task planning for all projectsTeam management and execution of all projects.
