– Public Compensation: DOE nnOur well-established Tax and Audit firm is seeking a Tax Preparer to add to the team.

This position requires 1+ years in an accounting firm, and will be a CPA or CPA eligible.

We would also look at an EA who would like to move forward with the CPA in the future.nn nnThis Spokane firm works no more than 47 hours a week during busy season, and everyone works together as a team.nn nn nn nnJob Summarynn nnResponsible for income tax preparation for individuals and companies.

Identifies potential tax credits and liabilities and ensures accurate and complete returns are filed in a timely manner.

Completes tax forms in accordance with policies and in compliance with legislation and regulations.nn nnPrimary Responsibilitiesnn nnCompute taxes owed by following tax code.nn nnPrepare or assist in preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small businesses.nn nnHelp taxpayers by using their federal, state and local codes and see to it that clients receive the maximum benefit permitted under the law of government.nn nnUncover potential deductions and credits.nn nnAdvise against potential tax liabilities.nn nnEnsure clients do not pay unnecessary taxes.nn nnReview financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures.nn nnInterview clients to get a thorough picture of financial situation.nn nnVerify totals on past forms for accuracy.nn nnCalculate and invoice for form preparation fees.nn nnConsult tax law handbooks for especially difficult tax returns.nn nnResolve customer complaints.nn nnRecommend additional products and services.nn nnPrepare tax returns using electronic filing software.nn nnEnsure a copy of the completed return is provided to the customer.nn n n Job Requirements: nComplex Tax Return, Corporate Tax Return, Federal Tax, Franchise Tax, Local Tax Returns, Personal Property Tax, Individual Tax Return nnRobert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled professionals with remote or on-site jobs in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
