Assistant/Associate Professor – Physical Therapy

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Eastern Washington University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate professor level to begin August 2021. Position responsibilities include teaching, student advising, scholarship, and service to the university/community/profession. Qualified candidates with all areas of expertise are encouraged to apply. Candidates with expertise in musculoskeletal or acute care physical therapy are preferred. The DPT Program is located at EWU -Spokane, a primarily health sciences campus with state-of-the-art space and facilities. The campus sits next to downtown Spokane, and is within walking distance to trails along the Spokane River. Spokane is the heart of the Inland Northwest, with excellent restaurants, theaters, shopping, skiing, hiking, lakes, and high-quality schools and affordable housing. The Spokane campus is a satellite of EWU’s main campus in Cheney, WA. The DPT Program is 2 years 9 months in length, has 9 full-time faculty members, and admits 38 students each fall. Opportunities for summer teaching may be available. Faculty are expected to engage in effective teaching and assessment of student learning. Additionally, the candidate selected for this position may be expected to teach face-to-face classes, hybrid or blended classes and/or online classes according to the needs of the department.
