This is a Full-time position in Redmond, WA posted May 11, 2021.

Description:

Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Ambulatory Surgery Center (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Redmond Asc at Swedish Medical Group in Redmond, WA.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will have general expertise in surgical/procedural care.

The CNS develops, implements and sustains clinical education/training and competency requirements for the clinical workforce within ASC utilizing evidence based practice.

The CNS promotes excellence in nursing by disseminating current scientific knowledge, participating in research and acting as a role model.

In this position you will:
Design, develop, implement, measure and sustain a competency-based training plan for clinical roles for ASC Evaluates practice in relation to professional practice standards and relevant regulations.

Acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in surgical/procedural nursing.

Contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.

Decisions and actions made on behalf of others are determined in an ethical manner.

Develop, organize and direct the new caregiver training and continuing education of clinical support staff Assist in hiring new employees and coordinating subsequent training and orientation programs Utilizes, participates in, and disseminates research to enhance practice.

Influences the resource utilization in order to promote safety, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability in the planning and delivery of patient care Communicate revisions and/or new information to clinic personnel in a timely manner
Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree /Master’s degree in Nursing -OR-equivalent educ/experience Active, unencumbered, current Washington State RN license required Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).

Advanced Life Support (ACLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN) Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) certification in area of specialty (e.g.

CCRN, CEN, CNOR, AORN, CGRN); must be current and maintained.

If not present at time of hire, has 6 12 months to complete to maintain qualifications Three (3) years Surgical/Procedural nursing care experien Two (2) years CNS experience in Surgical/procedure area
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Two (2) years Ambulatory surgical/procedural setting Ambulatory surgical/procedural setting Certified Nurse-Operating Room (CNOR) or Clinical Nurse Specialist Perioperative Certification (CNS-CP) or Certified RN First Assist (CRNFA) Basic arrhythmia certificationBasic arrhythmia certification
