The ED Nurse Manager will be responsible for organizing, planning, leading, and directing clinical and management activities for the designated department and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The Emergency Room Nurse Manager will be held accountable for daily operations and oversight of nursing practice and patient care delivery.  Participating as a member of the health care team in maintaining continuity and quality of patient care is an essential component of the position. Collaborating with the trauma center, medical surgical, telemetry, and other units is essential for the Emergency Room Nurse Manager to feel confident and comfortable doing. The Emergency Room Nurse Manager will be clearly spoken and collaborative with all members of the facility. The Emergency Room Nurse Manager will evaluate the clinical operations, programs and resources of the assigned clinical area to assure safe and appropriate delivery of diagnostic and/or therapeutic patient care. The Emergency Room Nurse Manager will monitor and troubleshoot service recovery and other escalated concerns and resolves within defined scope of responsibility.
