Hospital Speech Language Pathologist

Clinical Management Consultants

This is a Contract position in Ephrata, WA posted May 1, 2021.

A reputable 45 bed medical center is actively searching for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist.  

The reliable Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for the following:

  • Evaluate patients and their speech, cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
  • Plan therapy programs designed for specific disorders.
  • Conducts specific, planned out, and proven therapies.
  • Informs family members how to monitor and practice speech methods.
  • Organize and maintain patient records.
  • Instruct diet alterations.
  • Communicate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff members. 

The Speech Language Pathologist at this critical access hospital will provide inpatient and outpatient services to its tight-knit community in central Washington and provide care to diverse populations. The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct therapy specific to their patients disorders across the lifespan, but have a focus on pediatric populations. With previous experience providing speech therapy in hospital settings, the Speech Language Pathologist will be a part of a cohesive team of physicians, providers, nurses, and ancillary staff that all work together to ensure optimal patient outcomes. 

The Speech Language Pathologist will have their Speech Language Pathologist with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) credentials. The Speech Language Pathologist will also have their Master’s degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology and be certified by the American Speech-Language and hearing Association.
