Overview The primary role of the Specialty Lead Assistant is to provide training and guidance to Dental Assistants and support the success of the clinicians through effective delivery of the Perfect Patient Experience.

Specialty Lead Assistants train and develop all other dental assistants to perform a variety of patient care, laboratory, and administrative duties.

This individual is responsible for maintaining appropriate and adequate general and specialty clinical supply in the dental practice, while simultaneously remaining fiscally responsible.

The Specialty Lead Assistant must support the policies and goals of PDS, and thus participate in the growth and future of the company.

Responsibilities * Hire, onboard, train, develop, evaluate and terminate dental assistants in order to ensure the effective operation of the office * Develop the dental assistant team through support of learning plans and expansion of individual knowledge with regards to clinical technology and skill sets * Manage office schedule, including scheduling of dental assistants and other office staff * Manage patient flow to maximize the experience for the patient as well as creating an efficient, effective day for the dentist * Perform duties in accordance with the applicable state’s Dental allowable functions * Effective team builder that can cultivate an environment and promote company culture * Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, State Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices) as mandated by applicable state (e.g.
