Level 3 NICU Nurse Manager

One of the large teaching hospitals in the greater Ohio area is actively seeking a Level III NICU Nurse Manager to join their team.

Reporting to the Director of Women and Children’s Services, the Level 3 NICU Nurse Manager will join the Women’s Health Services team, accountable for their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

This fully-equipped Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is designed to provide specialized care for critically ill newborns that may require ECMO or HFOV.

With a close-knit team NICU team, the department has neonatologists, specialized nurses, and several other clinical and ancillary staff support available 24/7.

The Women’s Center is designed to provide a welcoming, family-centered environment; including ongoing educational programming for parents and advanced technology that allows parents to monitor their newborns when they are unable to be bedside.

Responsibilities of the Level 3 NICU Nurse Manager may include managing the budget, department staffing (screening, interviewing, hiring, and scheduling), preparing accreditation and survey material, ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance, updating policy procedures, developing educational curriculum, and cross collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Ideally, the Level 3 NICU Nurse Manager will have a clinical background working in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and prior leadership experience.
