WDVA is a national leader in the quality of and advocacy for veterans claims submitted to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, reaching out to Washington’s more than 600,000 veterans.WDVA operates four Medicare/Medicaid and Federal VA Certified Veterans Homes in Port Orchard, Orting, Spokane, and Walla Walla providing nursing care for honorably discharged veterans, to include, in some instances, their spouses, widows or gold star parents.?For more information, visit our website at www.dva.wa.gov.Duties**_Some of what you will be doing: _**This LPN 2 position, under the supervision of the shift nursing supervisor – assists in the delivery of nursing and nursing related care to residents of the Washington Veterans Home.**_Key Responsibilities:_**Prepares, carries out, evaluates, and revises treatment plans for individual residents based on personal observations and recommendations of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and/or other nurses.Passing medications, administering, monitoring and recording treatments, assessing resident condition.Processing of physician orders. Will assist with routine rehabilitative and maintenance care.Maintain a safe, sanitary and harmonious environment.Qualifications**_Required Qualifications: _**Valid Washington State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.**_Preferred Qualifications:_**Long term care experience.Experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.Supplemental Information**PLEASE NOTE:**This position is covered by the Public Safety Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS).
