Description:Medical Assistant (Vancouver, WA) Location: Vancouver, WA Compensation: $16.00
– $18.25 per hour Schedule: 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm) Ideal Option has been working on the front lines of the opioid epidemic since our first clinic opened in 2012.
We work with criminal justice partners, healthcare providers, and community-based organizations to expand access to treatment and coordinate care for people suffering from substance use disorder.
We have a unique opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join our growing team and be a part of our Satellite Services Program.
The Role: As part of our Satellite Services Program, you will serve as the onsite medical assistant at our designated satellite sites.
You will be responsible for interfacing with patients, conducting intakes, obtaining vital signs, and collecting urine samples.
Additional responsibilities include: * Checks patients in for their appointments* Confirms and updates patient’s demographics* Obtains release of medical records from the patient* Collects co-pays from the patient and makes nightly deposits at the bank, as required* Performs breathalyzer testing* Witnesses patients for observed dosing and observed urine, as required* Performs skin assessments* Draws patient blood samples* Performs other duties as assigned Our ideal candidate: Must be comfortable and capable working independently and with a diverse, underserved, vulnerable population.
You should have the ability to communicate effectively with patients and adapt to individual needs as well as a strong vocabulary, accurate spelling, and use of punctuation.
You must also be non-judgmental, empathetic, and hold yourself to highest ethical standards.

Requirements:Minimum Requirements to be considered: * High School Diploma or GED* Maintain MA licensing through the state/agency (as applicable per state)* Maintain BLS/CPR certification* Ability to work independently* CMA or National Certification preferred
