Medical Records Technician

Family Health Centers

This is a Full-time position in Okanogan, WA posted May 6, 2021.

Creates new medical records and retrieves existing medical records by gathering appropriatedocuments; creating Athena charts; verifying existing record numbers.

Sending out recordsrequest in compliance with Joint Commission, state and federal standards?

Gathers patient information by collecting demographic and clinical information from avariety of sources; interacting with clinic sites, physicians’ offices and hospitals;retrieving information from faxes and inboxes ?

Maintains master patient log of incoming and outgoing medical records?

Corrects and communicates problems according to established procedures.?

Initiates the medical record by creating and processing the patient care record folder.

Maintains record availability in Athena ?

Retrieves medical records; documenting reasons if records cannot be retrieved forstatistical and follow-up purposes.

?

Keeps health care providers informed by communicating availability or unavailability ofthe record.

?

Maintains quality results by following Joint Commission standards.

?

Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating actions,QUALIFICATIONS:?

3+ years’ experience in handling medical records in a licensed medical facility?

Exceptional organizational skills?
