Providence is calling a Therapy Assistant, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) / Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) (0.8 FTE, Days) at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.In this position you will:* Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.* Coordination (the working together of all parties involved with the person served).* Communication (all modes of exchange of information).* Refers patient to Therapist every fifth treatment.* Refers/reports to Therapist for discharge from service when goals & outcomes have been achieved or* Refers/reports to Therapist to discontinue patient from service when* Person served declines intervention.* Person served is unable to progress toward goals.* Therapist determines that person served no longer benefits from intervention.Required qualifications:* Associate Degree or two (2) year technical program from a program accredited by American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and/or American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) with studies in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).* Basic Life Support (BLS) card* Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist AssistantPreferred qualifications:* Experience as a Therapy Assistant in adult rehabilitation.About the ministry you will serve:Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA is the state’s most award-winning hospital for medical care; having received the HealthGrades Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence four years in a row.
