Physician Assistant – Cardiothoracic Surgery

CHI Franciscan has a Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant opening for anexperienced surgical Physician Assistant. Our team includes Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery. Recruitment efforts are currently under way for an individual who would like to join an growing Cardiothoracic Surgery practice. There is a unique opportunity for additional volume growth with the completion of a new hospital in 2020-2021 as we move from Bremerton to Silverdale. The cardiac surgery program has earned several STS 3 Star awards for CABG, AVR, and AVR CABG. We provide an excellent opportunity to provide a high level of care with unique individualized service. Position includes robotic opportunities, minimally invasive thoracic and cardiac surgery, and endoscopic radial harvest. Clinic work consists of working up the surgical candidate for cardio and thoracic cases. Then follow-up care of post-surgical patients. Operating room work consists of assisting the surgeon in open heart cases primary role will be to harvest the veins out of the legs to be used in the coronary bypass procedures. Additionally, you will assist in the chest after the veins have been harvested from our patients. Post Op Hospital work consists of taking care of the patients in the ICU and step down unit until discharge from the hospital. Schedule is typically Mon-Fri with shared weekend call rotation. Requirements include: Active Washington State License Certification Minimum 2 years P.A./ARNP surgical experience as PA/NP Endovascular vein harvesting experience ispreferred Puget Sound Region: CHI Franciscan is based in the Pacific Northwest at the heart of the stunningly beautiful Puget Sound region of Washington.
