CareerStaff Unlimited is looking to hire a Psych Registered Nurse for full-time, contract opportunities in Toppenish, WA Qualified nurses will have previous psych or med-Surg experience and have a strong focus on inpatient care. • Dates:03/29/2020-6/28/2021
• Shift times: 7pm-7am
• Willing to consider 1-year nurse with strong experience. 
• Travel experience required is unit specific.
• For RN’s, WA pending license is ok to submit. Must be active by start date. 
• All RTO must be requested upfront, please include at time of submission. 
• Start dates are almost always on Mondays and travelers can be oriented any Monday there is a new start.
• Should a traveler have more than a 30 day gap between assignments with facility, they will need to complete a new drug screen, background check and orientation. 
• Compliance docs due Wednesday prior to start
• Orientation: Mondays at 8:30AM-12PM for hospital orientation; unit orientation till end of confirmed shift.
• Modules: 8 hours
• Always Relay to Travelers: The facility is known for administering random drug screens. Travelers should be prepared for this at any time. 

Weekly Comp: $2353
Weekly Taxable $1296
Weekly Stipend: $672
Weekly M & IE: $385

Duties: The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients with emotional or 

psychiatric disorders; serves actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting 

the organization and program philosophy of care; ensuring the safety and well-being of each patient. 

Skills: 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience 

Education: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and a valid State RN License.

MORE ABOUT THE RN REGISTERED NURSE – PSYCH POSITION:

1. Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the organization
2. Assess plans and evaluates patient care needs
3. Carry out physician orders
4. Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor vital signs
5. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
6. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems 
7. Instruct and educate patients and families
8. Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
9. Provide age and culturally appropriate care

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE:

1. Previous Psych experience preferred
2. BLS issued through American Heart Association
3. Must be eligible to work in the United States
4. RN license in state of practice
