Staff Nurse Medical Unit

Clinical Management Consultants

This is a Contract position in Montesano, WA posted March 12, 2021.

This trusted community hospital on the Washington Coast is actively interviewing for a Registered Staff Nurse (RN) to join the Patient Care team in the Medical Unit. Discover the majestic beauty of Northern Washington, and join one of the busiest acute care hospitals in the area.

This community medical center, as part of a non-profit system, has a long history of serving the hard-working and hard-playing people of Coastal WA. Receiving high praise for the services it provides in Cancer Care and Rehabilitation, as well as Stroke and Coronary Care, the Medical Unit Staff Nurse will discover a fantastic organization dedicated to patient satisfaction and experience.

Reporting to the RN Manager of Medical Surgical, with a dotted line to a CMSRN Charge Nurse and Administrative House Supervisors, the Medical Unit Staff Nurse will play a crucial role in providing patient care. Working with an excellent team of Inpatient and Acute Care Nurses, this person will have the chance to apply their skills and experience in both Adult and Pediatric Nursing.

Primarily, this Staff Nurse will work in the 18-bed Medical Unit at this 100+ bed hospital. This unit sees a wide range of patients, but is usually populated by those suffering from Stoke, Heart Attack, and Pneumonia. An exciting part of this role, is that the Staff Nurse will also have the opportunity to work in a small Pediatric Unit, providing coverage and patient care there as well. This is the perfect role for someone with strong Adult Nursing skills who would like to work with additional populations, or for someone who’s looking to transition to pediatrics.

The Medical Staff Nurse will play an important role in the direction and quality of patient care in these units. At least one year of experience in Acute Care Nursing will be required, with additional experience in pediatrics a definite plus. Beyond these basic requirements, this Staff RN should understand the Standards of Nursing Practice and Principles of Patient-Centered Care.

Just a short drive from the Seattle Metro and Greater Puget Sound areas, you’ll find a beautiful seaside town with a ton of character.  With thousands of acres of National and State Forests, gorgeous coastal weather, and some of the finest country seafood around, there’s no wonder that people never want to leave. The outdoors person will find hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and just about everything else that can be done under the sun. When the Med Unit Staff Nurse needs some time in the city, a short trip puts you in Olympia, Seattle, and beyond.

As a valued clinical team member at this valued community hospital, the Medical Unit Staff Nurse will receive a competitive compensation, a generous benefits package, and the peace of mind that comes with job security.
