This is a Part-time position in Tacoma, WA posted April 16, 2021.

We are seeking to hire highly skilled LPNs to work on our beautiful Trouvés St.

Ann’s Assisted Living campus in Tacoma, WA.

The ideal candidate must be a team player and possess the desire and skillset to care for our residents at the highest level and put into action our platinum standard of providing care with our mission in mind.

As part of the Trouvés team, you will receive above average comprehensive benefit package after 60-day probation period, as well as training program as part of onboarding process.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Assigns staff to residents Developing and /or Implementing plans of resident care Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, evaluates and revises service plans for individual residents based on personal observations Coordinates communication between program staff Records and administers or oversees the administration of medications Observes and records the physical and mental condition of patients noting physical and/or behavioral changes, the effects of drugs, and incidents Takes and records blood pressure, pulse rate and body temperature of patients; evaluates physical and mental condition Responds to residents’ needs; encourages healthy mental attitudes and new behavior patterns Performs and documents for residents assessment and nursing diagnosis of patients, care planning and implementation of safe nursing care Directs patients, families, visitors and staff members in emergencies and complex situations Applies appropriate policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice in performing clinical duties Participates in quality assurance program and assists in data collection, monitoring, and the development and implementation of corrective actions for the program Performs related duties as required May supervise or direct the work of others Provide a positive environment for residents relating to meeting psychosocial needs.

Promotes a culture of teamwork, sensitivity and respect to all team members.

Works collaboratively and cooperatively with the Behavioral Interdisciplinary Team to create and maintain a respectful and resident care focused therapeutic environment.

Assists residents and families with adjustment to changes from Institutional hospitalizations into community settings.

Serves as a member of an interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of the resident.

Communicates with physicians, psychiatrists, insurance liaisons, therapy services, hospice services and other providers as needed for coordination of resident care.

Assists in crisis intervention as needed, providing one-on-one supervision, using redirection and behavioral de-escalation techniques.

Participates in resident care conferences and BSS reviews as needed.

Assists residents to maximize at the highest behavioral, social and functional living skills.

Assists with resident therapeutic groups, appointments, transportation, and recreational activities as needed.

Responds to internal and external emergencies and facility codes; initiates CPR; alerts Director of Nursing, administrator of emergencies.

Assists families and visitors in connecting with the appropriate staff to address concerns, safeguarding patient confidentiality and privacy.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED Current Washington State nursing license in good standing Current CPR or ability to receive within first 30 days Minimum six month’s experience in direct patient/resident care Nursing, geriatrics, or psychiatric nursing desirable REQUIRED: A valid Washington State license to practice as a registered, professional nurse or Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.

Current CPR certificate.

Use nursing principles, judgment and knowledge.

Coordinate and provide professional nursing services.

Work effectively with others; assume responsibility for professional growth and development.

Work as a team member communicate effectively with others.

Knowledge of professional nursing principles and concept.

Theory, science, and treatment techniques in a particular specialty area of practice such as mental health nursing and infection control.

Proficient in use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Point Click Care experience preferred.

Positive, compassionate/caring, ability to work with diverse population in objective manner.

Team player Willing to perform other duties as assigned i.E.

laundry, general housekeeping, serving meals, assist with activities Energetic Punctual Dependable Experience supervising staff ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Mental Health Specialty training and various behavioral health, de-escalation, crisis intervention training within 30 days of employment BENEFITS: Upon successful completion of 60-day probation period Medical and Dental Insurance Vision Coverage Vacation Sick Leave 401K JOB TYPE: Full-time and part-time PAY: $28 $30/hour depending on shift We have 3 shifts to fill for 24-hour care, Monday-Sunday Reports to Director of Nursing Interested candidates, please submit your resume and cover letter.
