Senior Compensation Analyst, Human Resources (Seattle, WA)

This is a Full-time position in Seattle, WA posted July 25, 2021.

Job Description Summary Responsible for providing analysis and administration support to the Company's pay practices.

This includes the administration of key compensation programs and processes, including the salary adjustment process, annual performance review process, annual budget preparation, completion of salary surveys, compensation reporting, equity plan administration, executive compensation and the development and distribution of compensation training to management team.

Job Details PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Participate in and analyze results of salary surveys to determine organization's market relationship and ensure jobs and salary ranges are appropriately set.

Analyze competitive salary data to support pay decisions and recommendations.

Analyze existing salaries and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity and legal compliance of the organization's pay practices.

Review, update, and maintain organization-wide job descriptions.

Determine appropriate job grading for new or revised jobs, ensuring internal consistency and market competitiveness.

Ensure proper FLSA classification of jobs.

Ensures pay levels are compliant with state and federal minimum wage.

Responsible for the company wide annual performance review process.

Responsible for preparation of cost analysis and forecasting associated with salary adjustments, incentive plan design, pay program initiatives, budgeting, etc.

Model financial impact of proposed compensation plans and programs, and prepare exhibits, summaries, and recommendations.

Partner with Finance in the annual budget process and monthly updates to the compensation forecast.

Prepare standard and ad-hoc analytical reports on compensation expense and related metrics.

Identify and research trends and prepare projections.

Provide equity plan administration support related to new award agreements, vestings, exercise events and termination of existing award agreements.

Provide ad-hoc reports to finance, legal, outside counsel and equity plan participants as necessary.

Responsible for executive compensation analysis; including short and long-term incentive compensation.

Submit bonus and commission payouts for processing.

Assume additional duties as assigned, responding to departmental needs as they arise.

Provide superior service to internal staff and external customers.

QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field preferred or the equivalent in related work experience.

Minimum of four years experience working in compensation analysis required.

General human resources and/or banking experience a plus.

Knowledge of compensation theory, planning, design, and trends; and government regulations that apply to compensation programs.

Experience with compensation reporting.

Experience in compensation survey submission and analysis, market pricing, and job analysis.

Experience with designing and modeling the financial impact of salary administration programs, incentive plans, and other compensation programs.

Experience with an Employee Stock Purchase Plan preferred.

Strong numbers orientation, including knowledge of basic statistical and mathematical calculations.

Experience in organizing and analyzing data into actionable conclusions and recommendations for presentation in a clear, concise, and easily understandable manner.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite with particular expertise using Excel for data analysis.

Excellent consultation and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

A self-starter with the ability to make decisions, work independently, set and handle multiple priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service orientation.

Ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion.

Proven ability to answer questions tactfully and diffuse difficult situations.

Ability to accept and facilitate change, whether indicated by corporate needs, market or regulatory requirements.
