The One Commercial Partner (OCP) “build with” channel development team is part of the US OCP organization and combines the partner channel ecosystems of Managed Service Providers ( MSP ) National & Local Service Providers ( NLS ) Global Scale Service Providers ( GSS ) , Global System Integrators ( GSI ) & Microsoft Surface products..

The goal of this unified team is to develop an outstanding partner recruit and practice building engagement that will accelerate our partner channel and Microsoft toward achieving the US Digital Transformation Opportunity.

nn THE ROLE n The Partner Development Manager
– Recruit (PDM-R) will be part of the Data Center Optimization (DCO) team within US OCP organization with a charter of accelerating Azure Datacenter Optimization across all segments of the Build With partner channel defined above.

The DCO team serves as a highly specialized incubation/business development team with a core focus on driving strategic Azure consumption revenue by identifying and winning large, complex Azure opportunities, customer/workload acquisition and partner hybrid cloud adoption and practice building.

The DCO team is a dynamic team with entrepreneurial DNA driving Microsoft cloud market share and contributing 70%+ YoY revenue growth since its inception for the US Subsidiary.

Success for this role will be measured across key metrics of: Azure Revenue Commitments ( Adoption ) Azure Monthly Run Rate growth ( Consumption ) Azure Customer Adds ( Migration ) Azure Practice Development ( Services Launched ) nn nn nn Responsibilities nn nn Partner Practice Strategy:n
– Lead strategic growth efforts across partner practices working with a broad Microsoft set of stakeholders (OCP, WW, Azure business strategy & engineering, Marketing & Operations & Corp Program Management.) to lead the partner through a datacenter optimization journey. n
– Evangelize the migration and deployment of workloads into Azure and grow consumption by providing deployment guidance, supporting development of the partners cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers. n
– Lead deployment of projects, creation of collateral, and training of sellers and partners in your area of specialization. n
– Provide leadership to manage strategic program, partner recruitment, portfolio optimization, partner capacity and capability to grow the Microsoft business in alignment with global partner priorities and strategy. n
– Build high impact relationships with partner senior technical leadership.

Lead overall business/sales planning, technical enablement, and execution for datacenter optimization across partner teams. nn Business Orchestration: n
– Drive One Microsoft orchestration across US OCP teams to secure partner commitment for Datacenter Optimization and Azure acceleration.n
– For assigned engagements, drive adoption of Azure Consumed Revenue and Azure Customer Adds.

Evangelize, create and customize guidance to enable partner practice growth. n
– Share best practices and success across subsidiary/area leadership to influence and align strategy & resources to help team achieve targets and drive global expansion. n Partner Business growth: n
– Accountable for the growth of the CSP Azure business across the US OCP Build With partner channel.

Drive business performance measured by ACR and Monthly Run Rate growth metrics.n
– Identification of technology opportunities that enable and/or support the creation of differentiated offers in the market built on Azure.n
– Defining the delivery/operational models, including adoption of services and activities.n
– Enable the partner success during pre-sales activities which includes delivery of Proof of Concepts (POC), Pilots, Prototypes and technical blockers and objections removal.nn nn nn Qualifications nn nn is role requires the candidate have a strong technical and business background.nn
– Ability to discuss different technology options, architectures and paths when consuming the public cloud and how to compare and contrast them with across broad spectrum of audiences from support staff to C-level.

Candidate will need/obtain Azure certifications including AZ-900 and AZ-30X or AZ-10X or related Cloud MCSE and/or MCSA (equivalent certifications on AWS or GCP strongly considered).nn nn
– Broad business acumen with the ability to discuss the benefits and impact of moving to the public cloud across the c-suite with an emphasis on finance and strategy.nn nn
– Experience in support/operations/engineering with Agile development (devops) organizations is required along with an understanding of Application Lifecycle Management and performance tuning with one or more of the following programming languages: .Net, C++, Java, PHP or R.nn nn
– Practical experience with “migrating” on-premises workloads to the cloud required.nn nn
– Experience with mergers, acquisitions and consolidation in Service Providers, ISV/SaaS and Enterprise is required. nn nn
– Past role in a consultative/complex technical sales enablement and deployment role and/or technical evangelism role; engineering, developing, selling and marketing technical products and services to and through service providers, ISV/SaaS and CD’s preferably focused on engaging with cloud and hosting providers. nn nn
– Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends is required and broad knowledge of hosting segments and competing hyperscale clouds is highly desirable.nn nn A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent is requirednn
