We are seeking a highly motivated versatile software developer interested/experienced in the areas of cloud development, image processing and computer vision using the latest open-source Python technologies. This position requires motivated, self-learning individuals who want to pick up new skills and technologies quickly to meet customer needs. This position will develop skills in technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, DevSecOps pipelines, GluonCV and many others. An interest in clean code, Agile development and code reviews is essential to this teams culture and success.  This position applies advanced principles in maturing applied research & development concepts into incremental delivered capability.

This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). This position requires a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) US Citizenship Required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Candidate must have experience in software architecture and design.

• Must also have the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience transitioning machine learning algorithms into operational settings

• Exceptional software architecture, design, and development knowledge

• Experience with service oriented, microservice-style architectures

• Experience with DevOps, continuous integration and delivery CI/CD, deploying to cloud environments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with cutting edge technologies, such as: Hadoop, Kafka, Teradata, NoSQL, Docker/Kubernetes, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Node.js, Springboot, etc.

• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment techniques and tools, such as Maven, Jenkins, GIT, Artifactory, Ansible/Puppet

• Experience with AWS, Elastic MapReduce (EMR), EC2, S3

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
