In this role, you will independently analyze, design, develop, test, debug, document, enhance and maintain multiple complex computer applications using multiple programming languages and technologies using effective agile driven technologies.As an **IT Application Developer, Journey**, we need your skills in analyzing requirements on service requests and determining the best approaches and procedures for resolving issues, adding features or enhancing functionality.

This position is responsible for understanding the needs of multiple business programs and ensuring those needs are met according to the objectives of a Service Request, project, or other work assigned to the position by a manager or technical lead.

We are continuing to work with the Governor’s Office on the timing of any future furlough dates and adjusting to any future changes._**Duties* Transforming requirements into software, reporting and database solutions by using programming languages and technologies to design, develop and debug applications.* Testing and confirming solutions by conducting unit tests to confirm program operation.* Coordinating customer testing by creating testing plans and coordinating testing between environments and releases.* Deploying solutions by developing deployment plans, coordinating code releases, the deployment team and with other IT units as necessary to deploy the software.* Identifying and analyzing requirements by interpreting services requests and determining exact needs of customers; arranging project requirements and preparing work flow charts and/or diagrams.* Documenting solutions by writing and maintaining user documentation, self-documenting code conventions and otherwise commenting code as necessary.* Monitoring and maintaining databases and solutions by investigating application usage, error reports and performance or reliability issues.* Providing critical response and problem resolution by responding to critical production problems.* And much more!Qualifications**REQUIRED:*** 8 years of Information Technology experience* related to application development.**OR*** An Associate’s degree and 6 years of experience in Information Technology related to application development.**OR*** A Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience in Information Technology related to application development.**Please Note: **Qualifying IT experience is defined as analyzing, designing, implementing, maintaining or programming computer software applications/databases.* 4 years professional experience in **Object Oriented Programming Language**, .Net or other OO programming languages* 4 Years Professional Experience using a modern IDE, such as Visual Studio, Source Control and SQL Management Tool**Qualified applicants must also have four years of experience with some or all of the following:*** Strong knowledge of the .NET Framework Class Libraries* Application Developments in VB, VB.NET, Visual Studio, ASP, ASP.NET or other object oriented programming languages* MS SQL 2008 or higher* HTML, XML, and JavaScript* N-tier software architecture and development* JAVA* IBM toolset
– including Business Process Manager (BPM), Operation Decision Manager (ODM), etc.**DESIRED:*** One year of professional experience application development using JavaScript, JQuery, ASP.Net, JSON, XML, CSS.

Frameworks and Archs, such as Web Services, SOAP Service s, WCF, MVC.* One or more years of professional experience developing Microsoft application, security, authentication, auditing and exception-handling protocols using the Microsoft Enterprise Libraries.* Two or more years of professional programming experience while using Agile/Scrum methodology.Supplemental Information**Application Process: **The top candidates will be contacted directly to interview for this position.
