Process Engineer-Float Glass Manufacturing

Job Title: Process Engineer for Winlock Washington facility

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic, Chemical, or Material Science engineering. Strong computer skills, a desire to learn the process hands on and not be afraid to get dirty. Must have the ability to communicate the acquired knowledge to improve the plant processes and a hands-on team approach to problem solving are necessary characteristics. Proven leadership skills and co-op/intern experience are a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Process Engineer is a member of the Technical Department, which functions as a service group within the company. They are responsible for establishing operational guidelines, maintaining product quality, process improvements and resolving production problems. Responsibilities may include:

  • Raw material specifications, testing and batch formula
  • Monitoring and improving the entire glass-making process
  • Providing operational data and direction for the Production Department
  • Maintaining and improving critical production and quality control systems
