Job Descriptions
The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer’s role is to strategically design and implement databases, BI software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehouses. This includes selecting, blueprinting, gathering requirements for, designing, and rolling out BI solutions to end users.

Skills Required:

  • Working knowledge of data-reporting and business intelligence analysis tools required; specifically, preferred:
    • Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Integration Services
    • Tableau Software’s data visualization tools
    • Power BI
    • Wherescape or other DWETL automation tools a plus
  • Familiarity with one or more hospitality- & financial-management systems preferred
  • Ability to understand and document business and administrative processes.
  • Familiarity with data science concepts, machine learning, regression analysis, predictive analytics, clustering, decision trees, etc.
  • Ability to develop and debug SQL Server Common Language Runtime packages using C#
  • Ability to develop and debug data-exchange automations using JSON, XML, and SSIS

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience:
    • Working with SQLServer, including design and administration of databases
    • Creating complex SQL scripts, procedures, functions, etc.
    • Creating reports with tools such as Tableau, SSRS, Excel/Access, Power BI, etc.
  • At least 2 years of experience:
    • Working as part of a team to design, build and support a data warehouse and related data models.
    • Assisting with the creation of medium- to large-scale SSIS ETL’s and SSAS cubes for a data warehouse
    • Working with and creating multidimensional expressions
    • Programming with C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Business or IT related field
  • Microsoft SQL Server or other relevant Certification required.
