Job Summary:

The Hardware Verification intern will support hardware verification testing programs. This position  requires writing test plans and reports, providing support for test article scheduling, organization of the hardware verification lab equipment and facilities to ensure that they remain operational. In addition  the Hardware Verification intern will develop, update, release, and execute formal test protocols to support hardware verification test efforts (i.e. humidity, temperature, shock, vibration, safety, EMC,  etc.). Provide support for material compatibility testing of products with various cleaners and  disinfectants. This Person will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes within the  hardware verification group. Work with hardware development teams to improve product design,  quality and reliability of point of care ultrasound equipment deployed in a wide range of environments.

Essential Job Functions:

• Support all aspects of hardware verification programs 
• Manage and document test articles configurations 
• Coordinate testing activities (humidity, temperature, shock, vibration, safety, EMC)
• Create, review and archive test records

Knowledge and Experience:

• Working towards BS in  Mechanical, Electrical, Bioengineering, other engineering
• Successful high school completion with strong grades in math & science
• Hands on machine shop experience desirable
• Experience using various hand tools
• Experience in performing tests and good laboratory practices
• Knowledge of electronics and mechanical design.
• Experience developing and executing test protocols, and composing test plans and records.
• Use of MS Word for writing procedures and documenting test results
• Use of excel to track test completion and test article inventory

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both within other groups in Engineering and throughout the company.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, small team environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift 25 pounds, with or without accommodations.
