Senior Avionics Systems Engineer

This is a Full-time position in Kent, WA posted April 19, 2021.

**Description:**As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the Human Landing System (HLS) program system engineering team, performing tasks across the full system development lifecycle.

You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of developing the next human lunar lander.This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.Responsibilities:+ Elicit and define use cases, scenarios, concept of operations and stakeholder expectations+ Identify, derive, develop, and maintain requirements, including traceability and verification approach, necessary to implement a design that meets objectives+ Document the allocation of system requirements to lower-level specifications, showing the traceability of all requirements and verification approaches+ Support the definition and maintenance of the system interface requirements and interface control documents.+ Plan and support requirements verification and validation efforts+ Monitor and report on technical performance metrics+ Perform system trade studies+ Support the risk and opportunity management processBasic Qualifications+ Minimum of a B.S.

degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering or equivalent+ 10+ years industry experience in avionics design and analysis+ Experience taking at least one complex system from early design all the way through verification, ideally in the aeronautics or space industries.+ Familiarity with space environmental factors such as radiation, and MMOD.+ Familiarity with MIL-STD-461, SMC-S-016, DO-160, or other environmental test specifications+ Experience working collaboratively in small teams on fast-paced projects+ Exhibit excellent judgement and be comfortable making high-quality and high-velocity decisionsDesired Qualifications+ M.S.

in Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering+ Familiarity with EEE parts assurance (e.g.

SMC-S-010, EEE-INST-002, or NASA-STD-8739.10)+ Experience with ARINC-664 or AS6802 networks+ Familiarity with version control, preferably Git.+ Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA**Experience Level:**+ Expert Level**About Aerotek:**We know that a company’s success starts with its employees.
