Position/Title – Software Development Engineer in Test- SDETLocation – Issaquah, WAJob Type – Long term ContractVisa: No restrictions, but needs to have minimum validity of 1 year Job Description Note: Candidates in PST time zones are also accepted but locals preferred.Its mandatory that the candidate must have experience automating integration test cases that touches multiple applications and database. Client will not consider candidates that has UI automation experience automating functional test cases within a single application or database.Position Summary:As part of the high performing Software Quality Assurance team, this position plays a key role in ensuring software projects, products and enhancements meet SanMar’s quality standards by implementing automated testing solutions and frameworks that increase testing efficiencies and reduce cycle times. The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for developing and maintaining test automation frameworks, standards and coding guidelines based on industry best practices and SanMar QA standards. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Standardize test automation processes across multiple IT teamsBuild a robust and scalable automation framework to support current and future technology stackMaintain existing automation scripts as requiredEvaluate and design automated scripts to ensure end-to-end test coverage; assist with execution, as neededPrepare data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows, externally driving the data into scripts for reusability and maintainabilityAssist in integrating automation with software delivery pipeline and operationalizing automated smoke tests and daily automated runs for software releases Requirements for Position:Technical hands-on experience developing automation frameworks and solutions using proprietary and/or open-source toolsStrong ability to create data-driven automated frameworks for extensive UI and back-end data validation using SQL and one or more programming languages like Java, JavaScript, C#, VB Script, Python, or RubyExtensive experience with one or more automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Coded-UI etc.Experience with web services automation (SOAP and REST) using tools like Soap-UI, WebTest, Postman, or REST Assured, including good working knowledge of XML and JSONStrong working knowledge of Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery and DevOps; experience using tools like Azure DevOpsExperience with performance testing or working knowledge of tools like JMeter, NeoLoad, or LoadRunner is preferredDemonstrated skill using code repositories, preferably GitFamiliarity with both Windows and Linux environmentsKnowledge of Agile and rapid development methodologiesExcellent troubleshooting skills to find root cause of complex issues requiredDemonstrated skill in testing enterprise multi-tiered softwareKnowledge of security, performance, load, stress and scalability testing a plusPassion for finding bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code through the use of automation toolsPassion for continuing education and improving code quality through interaction with development teamCommunicates a ‘can do’ attitude and positive outlookExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience and/or understanding of middleware is a plus Qualifications:4+ years relevant experience as a SDETBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience Thanks & Regards Sudarshan KTechnical RecruiterEmail: sudarshan@itbmsinc.comITBMS Inc | Consulting.
