Find your future with us.The Boeing PW Mission Systems Advanced Broadband Networks team within Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is currently looking for an Entry Level Software Engineer to join their team in Tukwila,WA. Assists with the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Gathers information to support software project management. Documents deployed processes and tools and collect metrics. Supports software research and development projects. Troubleshoots basic software issues. Works under close supervision. Position Responsibilities:Mastering your craft and learning continuouslyDevelop new feature sets on the front-ends and the back-ends of our web-applications Create tests for new and existing feature setsWork collaboratively to make decisions that affect the entire systemInterface with users and developers to define and implement solutions to meet requirementsWork independently and with a team to Prototype features and applications independentlyCommunicate effectively to push the team’s processes to best fit our needs This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) 1 or more years of experience in web development Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security ClearanceExperience developing software in C++20% Domestic travel Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s degree in a related fieldExperience developing with TypeScript, Angular, GraphQL, Node.js, and SQLExperience testing with Cypress and JestExperience with GitLab and CI / CD Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
